Review of Senna (2010) by Arban K — 26 May 2012
A summary of Ayrton Senna's career by Asif Kapadia, embodied in this slick extraordinary documentary. Rich footage and comments from Senna's inner circle has made this movie filled by info and materials about Senna, yet still able to maintained to be objective.
All are strengthened by Kapadia's expertise and his two editors Chris King and Gregers Sall in reconstructing Senna's life using the footage into one solid story telling. And there's no other words could describe Antonio Pinto's music score: Thrilling.
"Senna" was an unforgettable. It was like Senna himself has awoken from his death to tell this story. The third part of the movie, which highlighting the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix in Imola Circuit, was the best part of this documentary.
Senna is a triumphant documentary that will captivate you. Dramatic, intense, gripping, but at the same time so harrowing. Once you see it, you want to re-watch it over and over again.
