Review of Senna (2010) by Sgt. C — 08 Apr 2014
(53%).
Without any need to pad out the run-time with interview after interview of the people that knew the man is a refreshing change from most documentaries as there was clearly a lot of usable real footage at hand and some of it is fantastic. The complete lack of need to recreate anything using actors is also somewhat unique in this type of film making, and its a godsend that the cameras were rolling during some key dramatic moments at pre-race meetings etc otherwise they'd be lost forever. As documentaries about racing go, this is a must watch.
