Review of Seeking Justice (2011) by Roxanne R — 30 Mar 2013
Very tense and engaging thriller and the most shocking part is the ending- oh my gosh I did not see that coming! Nicolas Cage is Will Gerard, a high school English teacher and January Jones plays his wife Laura Gerard.
The film takes place in New Orleans and since I visited I was reminded of several places. Its fun to watch a film taking place in familiar locations. Laura becomes the victim of a horrible rape and Will is approached by a stranger named Simon (Guy Pearce) who offers to eliminate the rapist for good in exchange for a little help.
Will accepts and as time goes by he discovers that his desire for justice can have frightening consequences. Folks, this film is very good and I am liking how Netflix is figuring me out, recommending movies to watch.
This one was in the "top 10" recommended for me by Netflix and available in HD. Has some nice twists and turns, great story and highly recommended!
