Review of Seeking a Friend for the End of the World (2012) by Allison C — 29 Jan 2013
I am going to have to disagree with a lot of people. This movie was absolutely wonderful. It was well-acted, charming, and very beautiful.
People need to understand that there is so much more to life than getting married, having children, and waiting for their death... There is a life for you to live out there, and you make the choice to live it or not. Dodge made the decision too late, but he realized that its the only way it could have happened. He ultimately found what he wanted and needed in life, but too late. The final act is showing us that we should not regret any of the things that we have done because that's the way things had to be in order for you to grow as a person.
People can never understand this movie until they have lived a life to the fullest everyday of their lives. If you can look back on your life with no regrets, you have achieved something that most people never will, and for that I give you a pat on the back.
Enjoy your life while you can because you never know when the end is going to come. Think about it.
