Sometimes, a concept is better than execution. "Seeking a Friend" falls into this category. The film seems scared to go the extra mile for its dark premise. It pays no attention to details when it comes to how the world would be/would react to the apocalypse.
That said, it's full of Steve Carell jokes, and I like Steve Carell jokes. Keira Knightly is adorable. There are better Steve Carell vehicles (Dan In Real Life) but there are much worse (The Incredible Burt Wonderstone).
