I was in love with Diane Lane's period wardrobe and Fred Thompson's men-only "club." (I need a club to have lunch in every day!) And even though I knew how it would end, it somehow still managed to be suspenseful and exciting.
For a movie that didn't make any pretense toward deviating from a guaranteed formula, it was perfectly satisfying and yes, I even cried.
