Review of Secretariat (2010) by Mikael F — 05 Jun 2011
I think I might have liked this a little better than Seabiscuit. Although Seabiscuit was the far grittier story/movie. Thought Diane Lane did a great job as a leading lady; John Malkovich always does a great job no matter what character he is portraying; even Dylan Walsh as John Tweedy was good.
Especially liked seeing Fred Thompson as Bull Hancock. The horses in the movie were beautiful and the scenery involving the horse ranches was majestic. I could definitely pick out the scenes filmed in Lexington, KY having traveled there a lot.
Overall, a good wholesome movie that you don't see very often. Kudos to Disney for putting out a good movie.
