Review of Searching for Bobby Fischer (1993) by Sarah P — 13 Mar 2011
This movie should be in every movie collection. And if you like chess, an absolute staple for entertainment. Every time I watch it, I am engrossed in every move, and involved in every character. It is especially necessary for children learning the balance that lies in the elation of victory and the hollow of defeat, of any competition.
It also teaches young and old a humane reminder that the adage "good game" incorporates both the sincerity that should be reserved for any opponent, and the humble reminder that even in victory, one can lose themselves.
Trick or treat!
