Review of Searching (2018) by Adrien B — 05 Sep 2018
A very good suspenseful thriller about a missing girl and the overprotective father trying to get her back. Very similar plot to taken except that it is not Liam Neeson. The whole film has no camera man filming, but it uses webcams, live chat, and surveillance cameras to do all the scenes, pretty much the same thing that Unfriended The Dark Web did.
The Asian Dad is likable and you support him as he goes through the mystery of solving on what happened to his missing daughter. The plot takes you on a lot of twist and turns and keeps you engaged on what is going to happen next.
By the end, you are fully immersed into the story as to what exactly happened. Finally, they do reveal what happens and it makes you want to go back and rewatch it again from a different prospective. A very good suspenseful movie and probably the best one in the past year or so.
