Review of Se7en (1995) by Vishal P — 12 Aug 2014
Undoubtedly one of David Fincher's two best films (the other being Fight Club). Its dark tone, unsettling visuals and well-shaped chemistry between Pitt and Freeman, whose characters come together from such opposing ends of the cop mentality spectrum are just the basic components of what has allowed the classic contemporary thriller to hold up for almost twenty years since its release.
It dares to scar its audience and leave with them with such a shocked reaction. From its script to its acting to its flawless use of set lighting, if you're a film lover and haven't seen this, it should be on your list for immediate viewing.
