Review of Se7en (1995) by Abrarqadir — 21 Jul 2020
There are 2 big shocks in this movie, and each of them land perfectly. The 1st shock is a result of brilliant acting and casting, and the 2nd, as good a plot twist as you'll find. The damp and dark, dungeony atmosphere of the movie doesn't add to the entertainment value (tho probably still the right decision), and I could have done with less rain, but the story itself is inspired, creative, and quite captivating from a biblical perspective.
Brad Pitt actually stood out to me more than Morgan Freeman, but both were very easy to root for. The cat/mouse intellectual warfare and puzzle solving make you wish the movie would keep going the whole time.
