Review of Se7en (1995) by Isaiah W — 22 May 2013
Quite possibly the most pretentious film I have ever seen outside of an art film.
Everything about this film is self satifyingly grandiloquent.
It was cast perfectly with Freeman and Pitt, the smuggest of the smug for this smug little movie and its smug little fans.
The title is even pretentious, a number in the title, seriously.
It lays it on so thick, like a ginger kid at the beach with an SPF factor of conceite.
The pseudo "Twist" at the end was almost enough for me at the age of 15 to get out of my seat and skull fuck the beguiled vapid low bracket vacous cunt beside me.
It was like the film had a clown standing there with his arms and palms out streched gesturing at the box winking smugly; "See what I did there.".
Morgan Freeman an Brad Pitt, this film exists to troll me.
I have no faith in humanity for people being inthralled by this movie.
It's a testement to the decline of culture and civilzation.
Nothing can grow from here.
I am not exaggerating.
