One of the greatest movies ever made. Every shot, every scene is filled with substance. The characters are great, the story is original, and the writing is superb. This movie never loses your attention, even in the slow scenes.
This movie features some of the most disturbing scenes in movie history, whether it is a frightening image or the idea of a scary situation. The "crime scenes" of the killer's victims feature some of the most horrifying scenes ever, most notably the ones based on the sins "Gluttony", "Sloth", and "Lust.
" This movie slowly builds into one of the most riveting third acts in all of cinema, mainly due to the unknown nature of the killer, and his shocking reveal. Once the killer shows his face, the movie turns from being a great thriller into the most intense psychological thrillers of all time.
The ending is one of the greatest endings of all time, and alongside the scene before it is one of my all time favorite scenes in movie history. It is unforgettable. It is my favorite David Fincher movie (yes, more than Fight Club), and one of my favorite movies of all time.
It is as close to perfect as possible. 10/10.
