Review of Scrooged (1988) by Justin B — 28 Dec 2012
A perfect recreation of Dickens' classic in a modern world, Murray is comic and emotional gold. The different takes, both visually and conceptually, of the different characters, especially the ghosts, proves to be highly creative and enjoyable.
You really feel the transformation Murray's character goes through, even if this is a tried but true tale. And of course, a wonderful score by Danny Elfman and brilliant cinematography by Donner send it over the top.
A perfect Christmas film.
