Review of Scream 4 (2011) by Ian O — 03 Apr 2012
Funny, gory, and dark. Scream 4 is all of these things and more. This is perhaps the darkest entry of the Scream saga, which you can feel in every frame. However, there are more than a few plot holes in this installment and unlike Scream 1 or 2 (forget 3), you get no sense of who these characters are or for that matter why they deserve to live.
Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate Scre4m, in fact I reveled in the nostalgia of it, but it begs the question: how far can one series go on meta alone?
