Review of Scream 4 (2011) by Maurizio B — 22 May 2014
In many ways, it is the weakest of the franchise, but in others, it is the strongest. Its smart (and funny) commentary on modern horror reboots and "torture porn" horror are exactly what a new Scream needed.
However, at times the film retreats back to the main problem with the third entry: becoming what it should be mocking.
