Minutes in and the commentary is back which is nice but still, 15 years later did anyone ask for this? The new aspect ratio and cinematography look horrible while the addition of jump scares are cheap and insulting.
The script seems to embrace stupidity and the dialogue is just as empty. All the teen characters after the opening are garbage and once again Sidney is thrust to the side for a cousin that makes no sense in the timeline and manages to make the third movie even worse in retrospect.
The last killer was lame in comparison to the first two, but this is a whole new low; Whiny and self-entitled, this is without a doubt one of the worst killers to appear on screen. The David Arquette, Courtney Cox jokes were amusing.
.. so there's that I guess? A true insult to the original two, maybe even the third as well.
