Review of Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse (2015) by Jason C — 09 Nov 2015
Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocolypse is funny and entertaining. Scouts Guide isn't as creative as it could have been, but it puts a new twist on the genre. I used to love the B-movies of the '80's, and this one took me back to those movies.
Scouts Guide isn't as scary as it could or even should have been. The actors are cheesy. Whether that part is intentional, I don't know, but it helps the movie work as a whole. The faces are familiar and when I look them up on IMDb they all have experience, so I'm guessing they were going for the end result.
It started a bit weak but picked up. The character intro was tacky and had me not expecting too much, but once this thing took off, it was a blast.
Scouts Guide is an entertaining movie and a must see for old B-movie fans. It'll make for a fun night on a movie channel down the road.
