Review of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) by Walrusgod — 17 Aug 2010

Pleasantly surprised! The cast was great, the video game and pop-culture references were funny and fit the story (and style) well, and overall it was one of the most enjoyable movies of the summer. I haven't seen a movie that quite grasps both video game and comic book aesthetics as well as Scott Pilgrim, and it marks yet another great movie from director Edgar Wright.

It may not be a "deep" movie, but it's a hell of a lot more fun than bland comedy remakes and big-budget action movies.
