Review of Scoop (1996) by Don S — 20 Jul 2014
A silly romantic comedy; not silly in a whimsical way, but silly in a mindlessly absurd way. Jackman and Johansson have nice chemistry, but the premise of the movie - a journalist comes back from the dead to tell a college student the scoop he heard on the other side - just doesn't work and is treated in an off-hand manner instead of a serious tone.
Merely watchable.
