Review of Schultze Gets the Blues (2003) by Vig S — 12 Apr 2008
Charming and twee in all the right places. Although some of the characters from earlier in the film are forgotten completely by the end and therefore unresolved, you don't realise until the credits role due to Schultze's wonderful journey of self-discovery aided by lively Zydeco music he hears by chance on the radio.
The film has a mellow pace to it throughout, which makes the music all the more special when it comes along.
