Review of School Ties (1992) by Tara K — 19 Jun 2007
Each time I watch this film on TV I discover something else about it I never noticed before. It has so many different levels beyond the surfact story of middle-class Jewish boy at rich Christian boarding school.
And a powerful, tight script, too. The film also holds a special place in my heart now because it made me one of the few people pre-1997 who'd heard of Matt Damon -- who was so perfectly cast, by the way, as was everyone in the film (even if Brendan Fraser doesn't exactly look 17).
