Review of School Ties (1992) by J L — 29 Nov 2009
This movie reminded me a lot of Dead Poet's Society- not quite as good in my mind, but still enjoyable. Filmed in the early 90's, it takes place in the 50's at a Protestant elite prep school.
Brendan Fraser's character is Jewish, and it shows how prejudiced these upper class kids were. Matt Damon is so young in this movie!! All of them are- Ben Affleck, Brendan Fraser, Chris O'Donnell.
It's crazy to see. It's a pretty good movie, although I didn't find that the ending really wrapped anything up for me.
