There is some charm and a few funny moments in this otherwise sappy jr high melodrama. Mostly it is a compilation of cheesy scenes and cliches from other movies. I like Reynolds normally, but this is a bit over the top as the 'cool teacher', and he seems to be wearing way too much foundation or something.
