Review of Schindler's List (1993) by Ryan B — 24 May 2014
There is really nothing else like this film, this is the most historically accurate or the most bleakest and honest depiction of the struggles of the Jews during WWII. This is Spielberg's best movie to date, which his impeccable choice of casting with Liam Neeson as Oskar Schindler and the rest of the supporting cast is absolutely captivating.
John William's score is very sympathetic and can also be very melancholy at times. The choice of all black and white except select scenes really enhanced my viewing experience and the cinematography was gorgeous.
I will admit though, this movie does not shy away from showing the most atrocious of war crimes committed by the Nazis. This is a movie you really have to watch, it's one of the best WWII movies ever produced in film history and it deserved all seven of the Oscars it was awarded.
