Review of Schindler's List (1993) by David B — 12 Jun 2014
Very much so based on a true story with gritty glamour, this is the best Holocaust story ever made to come to our screens. The shock value may have gone but it's a film that really makes you think and Sorry for the Jews of what they went through.
The black and white finish is far more provocative than it would've been in colour, aside from a certain (and famous) scene with the red coated girl, proving that their will be a future of good to come.
The cast are fantastically flawless, with Ralph Finese excellent as the evil colonel. Steve Spielberg directs a horrifyingly real film that plays with your heartstrings and I feel is his personnel film.
Brilliant acting, brilliant script and crafted by one of the best directors to date. Some scenes are sometimes hard to watch.
