Spielberg skillfully handles both sides of World War II with great sensibility and an uncommonly fluid narrative but he also creates an apotheosic Jewish portrait without deprive them of soul: they are more than just victims, they are real human beings, therefore the emotional relation with viewers is immaculate, effortless.
