Plot Summary.

Well the movie takes place during world war II in a time we call the holocaust(shoah). There was a a community of Jews that were hired by a a business man called Oskar Schindler. In the beginning Schindler was looking to increase his own personal wealth and social status by opening a new pot and pans factory, but he needed the help of some Jewish business men for the start up money of the factory. This lead to a agreement in the trade of goods for the money with the Jewish business men that lived in the ghetto. His Business flourished under a Jewish accountant that actually ran his business for him, and his factory became a haven for the oppressed Jews. During the money he had a change of heart and stopped caring about monetary gains, and became attached to all his workers... in the movie his workers got taken away from him and there destination was Auschwitz, but he decided to make a list of workers that he would move away to his home town to start a ammunition company. He paid out of his own pocket to save them thru the war until the Nazi army was defeated.

World Religion.

This movie also raises the issue of how evil can exist, and how can "God" tolerate the continued existence of it in the world that he created. This can be seen throughout the movie because so many innocent Jews died for no reason. The Nazi genocide against the Jews lead theologists to reexamine their traditional argument that punishment came from cause and effect. In other words that there sins would cause them to suffer and eventually lead them to the punishment we call the holocaust, but in my opinion "God" doesn't create evil and because of this he can not control it. The holocaust can be blamed on human hatred witch was rooted on race, language, and color of their skin. I will end this by saying one should never doubt "God's" continuing love for, and his anguish over, the human race.
