Review of Schindler's List (1993) by Daniel K — 19 May 2013
4: Just as moving as it's always been and I doubt this will ever change. It is actually much less shocking than I recall it being, probably because I've seen Resnais's Night and Fog a few too many times for it not to have lodged in my subconscious.
The black and white photography is wonderful and the performances, particularly from the three leads (Neeson/Kingsley/Fiennes) are spectacular. I'd forgotten or never realized that the wonderful Embeth Davidtz plays the housemaid.
A very nice surprise after all these years.
