I thought Al Pacino was brilliant in this and he lifts the film to a higher level. Although I hated his character at first I began to see him as a much warmer human being than I would have thought at first.
I found the film overall entertaining, funny and unpredictable. However, I thought the ending was bit too contrived and sentimental and that it therefore went against the spirit of the rest of the film.
