Review of Scent of a Woman (1992) by Marilee A — 19 Jul 2011
Scent of a Woman will long be remembered as the one movie who finally got Al Pacino his well-deserved Oscar.
And it is very well-deserved if you ask me. Pacino's performance is one of the greatest if not the single best I've ever seen in a film - He plays a blind guy and hardly wears glasses!
Yes there are some unrealistic moments like the car driving scen, O'Donnell is not the best choice alongside Pacino either and it's definitely too long - on the other hand I'd watch 2 1/2 hours of Pacino's brilliance every day.
