Review of Scarlet Street (1945) by Clare N — 24 May 2008
A great film noir by Fritz Lang starring the always brilliant Edward G. Robinson as a middle-aged man who becomes smitten with a nasty femme fatale (Joan Bennett). It's a shame that the version I viewed hadn't been restored as the film boasts some truly unique cinematography and use of soundtrack, particularly in its final scenes.
