In my opinion, Edward G. Robinson is one of the greatest actors to grace the big screen. Fritz Lang's "Scarlet Street" is one of my all-time favorite films. This is mainly attributed to Robinson's milquetoast performance as Christopher Cross, a long suffering aspiring artist who gets the short end on a regular basis.
