Review of Scarlet Street (1945) by Kevin G — 26 Jun 2010
A really great film noir. It's just the epitome of a relentlessly dark story. Edward G. Robinson is so perfect, it's impossible to not feel empathy for his character, no matter what he does. Joan Bennett is just amazing as her ruthless, cold-hearted femme fatale.
I just love how ironic the end of it is and how bleak it gets as the story progress.
