Fuck The Godfather, cause here's a better Gangster film. Francis Ford Coppola is too boring and after watching his gangster films, I felt not even the slight interest in watching the other renowned gangster films of that time. Even at 2 hrs and 44 minutes, Scarface proves to be more interesting and fast paced than the Godfather series that you can almost forgive it's long long running time. Like in all his films, Pacino gives a good performance and I feel bored to say this because it's understood and on all occasions, Pacino's work stays above the entire movie as such. Like in all the gangster movies of the vintage time, here also the protagonist would be a character more selfish than anyone around him and he would not even care for anyone around him, the same is with Tony Montana, but with an addiction for cocaine. This really irritates me because the character does not seem admirable, except for once and moreover, showing all characters snorting the brown sugar for the better part of the movie. My favourite gangster film is The Departed(2006) which I believe is above all these films. Scarface's ending could have been a bit more grant and stretched out, but it's way too good than any Godfather film could have brought up. The leading ladies are nothing bout gorgeous.
