Review of Scarface (1932) by Sean S — 12 Nov 2012
An astounding motion picture, Scarface ranks among the top films, in my list of best ever done. Not only does it receive an Academy Award worthy performance by Al Pacino, but it delivers a story that flows almost as perfectly as it lands.
In the process of looking for faults with this movie, I can only say that my biggest problem with this film is that it had to end. Tony Montana is not only a character that you love and want to see succeed, but a man that you learn to dislike and even hate in some parts.
His quest, which starts out with ambition, because a rollercoaster of greed and betrayal, where you can't help, but be enamored by this peasant turned king. I've seen this film a good amount and all I can say is that it's absolutely perfect.
If you can't appreciate this film, I really can't imagine what reasons you'd have.
