Review of Scanners (1981) by Dr. Sam L — 09 May 2009

Badly acted, apparent that all the effects budget went into the exploding head near the start, stupid script that's full of holes... and yet the film has something that makes it at least a little compelling to watch.

I remember loving this as a young 'un and maybe it's that nostalgia factor that kept me watching this time through.

Still, if nothing else, this was kind of a breakthrough film for David Cronenberg...
