Review of Scanners (1981) by Matthew M — 26 Nov 2009
Despite Stephen Lack's poor acting in this movie is probably one of Cronenberg's better early horror movies. Only due to the fact that his writing is pretty damn good. His style in this movie doesn't quite match up to his intentions nor to his new movies but definitely worth a watch if you're a David Cronenberg fan.
Michael Ironside and the exploding head are the best parts of this movie.
