Review of Scanners (1981) by Mixael X — 26 May 2010
A lot happens in an hour and 40 minutes but the journey is worth it for sure. Scanners is a memorable and complex horror/thriller/sci-fi with some fantastically violent scenes (the head explosion scene inparticular has gained the film historic status).
It is a mixture of both silly 80's horror and haunting 60's thriller and it is all the better for it.
