By far one of the greatest science fiction stories ever told. The first time I saw "Scanners" I didn't really know what to think of it, and branded it just as a weird science fiction movie, but after a second viewing I realize its much more than that and relays a great message about society.
Michael Ironside plays what my idea of perfect villain is, never has man shown so much rage in character. David Cronenburg's ability to mix sci-fi, horror, and action so beautifully amazes me to this day.
