Review of Saw V (2008) by Renni V — 28 Mar 2010
I continue to be amazed by the 'Saw' writers' ability to make their sequels plausible. Most horror franchises keep themselves going by completely abandoning the characters and storylines that make them great. At least to this point, 'Saw' has stayed true to its roots...therapeutic horror, industrial killing gadgets, and Tobin Bell as Jigsaw.
'Saw' fans should probably be pleased by plenty of blood and painful situations, horror fans should appreciate the plot's unwillingness to die, and everybody else should continue to avoid the series.
