Review of Saw V (2008) by Calvin S — 30 Oct 2010
Im surprised by the new cast members, including the one of NO ORDINARY FAMILY. But still, is not the best SAW either. The 1st one is still the winner.
Plot: More games, more Hoffman situations. Obviously, this time, Agent Straum (survivor of Saw 4, same as Hoffman) is investigating who is behind Jigsaw, and for his surprise, it will be someone he knows. Will this games end? Will Hoffman continue what John started? Some stars here for the story-telling.
Acting: Once more Tobin did NOT surprised me. I think his character is very lame in this one. Julie as Brit was amazing, but I feel I have seen her acting before and in this recently show, NO ORDINARY FAMILY, I feel like watching some skills used from here, in there. She still is the only one of this film with talent. Costas as Hoffman was ok, nothing new, same Scott as Straum. The rest of the cast was ok, but not inspiring. Just a few stars here.
Music: Same old, same old. Nothing new, but meh, half stars here. Sorry, but is because I just feel there is NO MUSIC AT ALL.
To end this review (nothing new on make up's either), 3 stars of 5. Hope you had enjoyed my review and HASTA LA PROXIMA.
