Review of Saw V (2008) by Kaspars R — 12 Apr 2011
Slightly disappointing. still a good addition to the saw library but it didnt really advance the story much, which the other movies have done. the traps are significantly less gruesome, which is, in a sick way, mildly disappointing.
Most of the movie is essentially a flashback sequence detailing hoffman's involvement in the plot, but doesnt advance the narrative much, or give more explanations as to y certain things happened in the past films.
not enough jigsaw flashbacks, and im one who essentially watches saw for tobin bell, I love him as jigsaw. and yes I realize his character is dead but that didnt stop saw IV from being dominated by him.
overall good, but not enough jigsaw and traps were somewhat boring.
