Review of Saw (2003) by Luis G — 28 Oct 2017
PROS: It's incredibly original and does an excellent job of keeping you on edge and making you uncomfortable. Just the sight of the grimy warehouse room where the protagonists are being held will make you uneasy (when that guy reaches into the dirty toilet...). And then there is the ending, which might be the best in horror history.
CONS: Carry Elwes treats his role like he's in a Broadway play. His delivery is so ridiculously weird and over-the-top.
