Review.

With perennial lifetime supporting actor Jason Biggs leading the charge this movie seemed doomed from the start. That coupled with often annoying actors Jack Black and Steve Zahn I thought there is no way I am going to enjoy this film but I came away pleasantly surprised. This movie while being stupid above reason also had parts of brilliance with Amanda Peet and Zahn being the highlights. Also the coach played by R. Lee Ermey was also pretty funny in an angry, violent sort of way. This movie proves that sometimes if you take a risk and throw some annoying comedic actors together you can get one enjoyable film. Now dont get me wrong just because I am singing this movies praises by no means is it for everybody and it does have some big problems. First off the storyline is terrible and it just gets progressively worse throughout the film. The break out from jail, the kidnapping of more then one person, and the weird characters like a bunch of circus freaks were thrown in with very little thought. Second there are some really stupid scenes like an Indian guy singing Neil Diamond, and a scene with shock panels attached to Biggss nipples was almost too terrible to watch. Lastly some of the jokes were non inventive and been done before. But if you are expecting nothing then this movie might just provide you a few laughs that you never thought would be forthcoming. I say give this movie a chance as worst comes to worst you get to hear Americas greatest songwriter Neil Diamond belt out some of his all time classics and thats not all bad.

T Factor + Thought Jason Biggs was funnier then I did then this could score higher on the rating scale.

T Factor + Found Zahn and Black too over the top then this could score lower on the rating scale.

If you liked this film reel recommendations: Loser, or Boys and Girls.
