Less of a making-of story and more of a biography leading up to the creation of one of the world's most adored children's movies, "Saving Mr. Banks" throws out all the cliches of a classic making-of movie and manages to pull off an original, sweet, real and heartfelt take on the life of P.
L. Travers, Walt Disney, and of course, Mary Poppins. Both Emma Thompson and Tom Hanks are electric, and they are ably supported by a terrific ensemble. Warning: tears will be induced.
