Review of Saving Mr. Banks (2013) by Jim F — 25 Mar 2015
So it's a movie about the Walt Disney's battle for the Intellectual Property rights to Mary Poppins. As horrible as that sounds it was actually surprisingly pretty good. The flash back and forth between 1961 and 1906 was a little difficult to grasp at first, and the ability to recycle all the songs from the 60s film too seems a little bit of a cheat.
However the film provokes an emotional response, which is one of the signs of great art. It's a little unusual, but probably worth seeing once.
