Review of Saving Mr. Banks (2013) by Zmgalen2000 — 02 Aug 2015
I am a HUGE Disney fan. I have loved every Disney movie I watched. When I saw the trailer for this, I was worried that Disney would have...well...Disney-fied it. But, I was wrong. I left the theater that day speechless and shaking with emotion.
I RARELY actually cry in movies-I normally just start to water up. But in this movie-I had tears begin to roll down my face, starting with the facts that Travers Goff (Mr Banks) was an alcoholic and Helen's mother, his wife, wanted to kill herself because of it.
The precision put into this film left me in awe. The theatrical elements were taken to the limits, leaving you wanting more at the end. I highly recommend this movie.
