Review of Saved (2009) by Dr. A — 03 Dec 2010
Teen comedy dealing with teen pregnancy, homosexuality and other christian taboos of the like set in a fundamentalist Jesus-freak environment. It's an OK movie which, as an atheist, delivers an OK message to kids caught in chritian quasi-values.
The problem here is that listening to so much Jesus freak ranting itsimply makes grow old by mid flick and it starts to lay heavy on the senses, one starts getting dizzy with it. Overall a very entertaining movie, although I expected a little bit more drama, but it seems the filmmakers kept it more on the realistic side and therfore the pace would seem slow.
Oh, well, yet another movie I wasn't interested in watrching and saw it by chance while flipping channels.
