One of the most disturbing movies I've ever seen. Since I didn't know of the back story behind this until the end, I thought I was watching the ultimate rendition of Oedipus. Julianne Moore's performance was the only reason why for the one star.
I found the plot choppy and incomplete. If you enjoy the insanely twisted such as mommy, son, and lover threesome scene, suicide scene, and mom screwing and giving son a hand job scene, then go enjoy this movie!
